Remember in the fall when it became almost impossible to keep track of the latest developments with the NHL and the 2021 season? It was hard to know if they would play, when, where, etc. Considering that was the NHL, you could be excused for not knowing what the deal is with all the minor leagues out there or which Capitals prospects are playing where. “That’s our definite No. 1 goal is to get more than halfway into the season right in the middle of everything and then be one of the teams that rises to the top,” Krueger said Thursday morning. “We don’t expect to necessarily rise there right off the hop.”

I think it’s ridiculous that hockey teams should get any credit for losing any regular season games, even in overtime, or a shootout. Teams don’t get any credit in the postseason if they get to OT before losing.Washington Capitals
